Terms of use

Last updated October 21, 2026

These are the terms for using Pavr. They come in two parts, and you only need the one that
fits you.

The last section, on changes, governing law and contact, applies to both.

If you run your company on Pavr

In this part, "you" means the company that holds the Pavr account and everyone who uses it on
the company's behalf. If you accept these terms for a company, you confirm you have the
authority to bind it.

The service

Pavr is subscription software for paving, sealcoating, striping and concrete contractors:
estimating, proposals and e-signature, scheduling and work orders, change orders, invoicing,
job costing, and a page where your customers sign and follow their jobs. Your customers' use of
that page is covered by the second part of these terms.

Accounts and seats

You're responsible for everything done under your account. There are no passwords: people sign
in with a code sent to their email. That means anyone who can get into a user's inbox can get
into that user's Pavr account, so treat your team's email security as your Pavr security.

You pay per paid seat per month, at the price on our pricing page. Crew who only clock in,
and your customers, don't take a paid seat.

Trial, billing and canceling

A new account gets a 14-day trial with no credit card. If the trial ends without a card, the
account locks until you add one, and nothing is deleted. After the trial, your subscription
bills monthly in advance. You can cancel any time; canceling stops future renewals and takes
effect at the end of the period you've paid for. Adding or removing paid seats mid-period is
prorated on your next invoice. Fees already paid aren't refundable, except where the law
requires it.

Your data

Your job data is yours. We claim no ownership of anything you put into Pavr. We process it to
run the service, as the Privacy Policy and the
Data Processing Agreement describe.

You're responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of what you upload, including photos taken
on job sites and personal information about your employees, subcontractors and customers.

You can download your records as CSV files any day the account is open, and your records and
files for 180 days after it closes. What happens to them after that is under
Closing your account.

Acceptable use

Don't use Pavr to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, send unsolicited bulk email, try to
get access you aren't authorized to have, load-test our systems without our written
permission, or resell the service without an agreement with us. We may suspend an account that
puts the service or other customers at risk. Where it's practical, we'll tell you first.

E-signatures

Pavr lets your customers sign proposals, change orders and punch list sign-offs electronically.
You and your customers agree those signatures are binding under applicable electronic-signature
law. Pavr records the version of the document that was signed, the time and the signer's IP
address. Pavr isn't a party to the contracts you sign with your customers, and makes no
representation about whether they can be enforced.

Availability

We work to keep Pavr running, but we don't promise it will never be interrupted. We may change
or discontinue features. When a change materially reduces something you rely on, we'll give
you reasonable notice.

Warranties and liability

Pavr is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of or relating to the
service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to
the claim. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for
lost profits or lost data. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be
limited.

Closing your account

You can cancel at any time, and the account closes at the end of the period you've paid for. We
may close it if you materially breach these terms.

After the account closes, you have 180 days to download your records and files: your customers,
proposals, jobs, invoices and the rest as CSV files, and your photos, plan sheets, drone maps,
signed proposals, receipts and other documents as ZIPs. During those 180 days, your account owners
can still sign in to download everything or to reopen the account with everything as it was.

When the 180 days end, we delete your records and files. Backups and stored file versions age out
on their own schedule after that. Three things stay longer:

  • The invoices you sent your customers, the payments recorded against them, and your expense
receipts with their images stay for 12 months from the day you cancel (or, if we have no
cancel date on file, from the end of the period you paid for), then they're deleted too.
  • Our own billing records for your account (your subscription, what you paid Pavr, and your
company's name) stay in our books and tax records. We don't delete them.
  • Our own support and sales records about your account (such as your support tickets, our sales notes,
and the log of each time our staff signed in as you to help) stay with Pavr.

The Privacy Policy says the same about personal information.

Payments Addendum: Pavr Payments

This part applies only if you turn on Pavr Payments. Until you do, Pavr takes no part in your
customers' payments: the Pay button on an invoice goes to your QuickBooks payment page or to the
link you give us, and Pavr charges nothing on it.

Stripe's terms apply

Pavr Payments runs on Stripe Connect. Turning it on creates a Stripe account in your business's
name, and you agree to the
Stripe Connected Account Agreement and the Stripe
terms it incorporates. Stripe, not Pavr, decides whether to open the account, what it needs from
you to keep it open, and when it pays out. You can sign in to your own Stripe Dashboard at any
time, and the account stays yours if you stop using Pavr.

You are the merchant

Every payment is made to your Stripe account, in your name, for work you sold. You are the
merchant of record.
Your name appears on the customer's statement, refunds come out of your
balance, and you're responsible for delivering the work the customer paid for, for your tax and
reporting obligations, and for following the card networks' rules and the law where you and your
customers are. Pavr never holds your money and never holds your customers' money. Nothing in Pavr
Payments is escrow, a deposit account, a loan or a guarantee of payment.

Pavr's fee

Pavr's fee is 1% of each payment made through Pavr Payments, with no cap, on top of Stripe's
published processing fees. It is deducted from each payment before Stripe pays it out to you, and
it applies whichever way your customer pays. There is no monthly charge for Pavr Payments. We'll
tell you at least 30 days before we change the fee.

Passing card fees to your customers

You can choose to add a card processing fee to payments made by credit card, and only by credit
card. It's off until the account owner turns it on. Whether you may charge it is your legal
responsibility
, not Pavr's: it depends on the law where you and your customers are, and on the
card networks' rules, including advance notice to the card networks and to Stripe. Pavr shows you
what we know about each state, asks you to confirm you've read it, and records who agreed and
when. Pavr works the fee out on each payment so it never exceeds your cost of taking the card, the
card networks' maximum or a state cap that we know of, never applies it to debit or prepaid cards,
bank transfers or checks, shows it to the customer in dollars before they pay, lists it on the
receipt as its own line, and refunds it along with a refund. That is help, not legal advice. If a
regulator, a card network or a customer disputes a fee you charged, that's between you and them.

Refunds, disputes and returned payments

Refunds, chargebacks, disputes and returned bank payments are yours to handle, and their amounts
and fees come out of your Stripe balance. Pavr shows you each one on the invoice, reopens the
balance, and lets you issue a refund from Pavr or from your Stripe Dashboard. Pavr doesn't decide
disputes and doesn't pay them.

Bookkeeping

If you connect QuickBooks Online or Xero, Pavr records payments, payouts and fees there in the
shape described in the app. You're responsible for reviewing your books; Pavr isn't your
accountant.

Turning it off

You can turn Pavr Payments off at any time in Settings. New payments stop at once, and your Pay
buttons go back to your QuickBooks payment page or your own link. Payments already started settle
normally, and refunds, disputes and payouts on them keep being processed. Your payment history
stays in your account to read. Pavr's 1% comes back to you in the same share when you refund a
payment. Turning Pavr Payments off doesn't refund fees on payments already made. We may suspend Pavr
Payments for an account if Stripe requires it or if the account is used in breach of these terms.

If a contractor sent you a Pavr link

This part is for people who view, sign or pay from a Pavr page a contractor sent them. If a
contractor emailed you a link to read a proposal, sign a change order, sign off a punch list,
follow a job or pay an invoice, this part covers your use of that page.

Who you're dealing with

Your contract for the work is with the contractor, not with Pavr. Pavr makes the software
the contractor uses to send you documents and get your signature. We aren't a party to your
agreement with them. Questions about the work, the price, the schedule or the workmanship go to
the contractor.

Getting in

You get in through a link sent to your email address, or by signing in with that address and a
code we email you. The link is tied to you and to the version of the document you were sent.
Don't forward it to anyone who shouldn't see your pricing.

Signing electronically

When you sign a proposal, a change order or a punch list sign-off on the page, you agree that
your electronic signature is binding and has the same effect as a handwritten one under
applicable electronic-signature law.

We record the exact version you were shown, the time you signed and your IP address, so you and
the contractor keep the same record of what was agreed.

You sign the version you were shown. If the contractor changes a proposal after you've seen
it, you're asked to review the new version. An old link can't be used to sign new terms.

Payments

Pavr never holds your money. Depending on how the contractor has set things up, the Pay button
does one of two things:

  • It takes you to the contractor's own payment page, at QuickBooks or wherever they take
payments. That provider's terms apply there, and Pavr never sees your card or bank details.
  • It opens the invoice's own payment page, if the contractor has turned on Pavr Payments.
There you can pay by bank transfer or card, or see how to mail a check. The payment goes to the
contractor's Stripe account; Stripe processes the payment. Your card or bank details go to Stripe
and never through Pavr, and Stripe's terms apply to the
payment. If the contractor adds a card processing fee to credit card payments, you'll see it in
dollars before you choose, and you can pay by bank transfer or check instead.

Either way, the contractor, not Pavr, is the merchant: they're responsible for the work you pay
for, for any refund, and for any fee they add. A dispute about a payment goes to the contractor
first, then to your bank or card company.

Your information

The contractor controls your information, and Pavr processes it for them. Requests to see or
delete your information go to the contractor. The Privacy Policy explains how
Pavr handles it.

Acceptable use

Don't try to open documents that weren't sent to you, interfere with the page, or use it to send
unlawful content.

Availability

The page is provided "as is", and we sometimes take it down for maintenance. If it isn't
available, contact the contractor directly.

Changes, governing law and contact

We may update these terms. If you have a Pavr account, we'll tell you about a material change by
email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Pavr is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

About your contractor's work, contact the contractor. About these terms,
write to legal@pavr.io. About a page a contractor sent you, write to
support@pavr.io.
